they don’t think about it because in most cases the people they are looking to fund and support their company is not identifying it as a critical issue.

people do what they are incentivized to do, goals need to be aligned to get specific outcomes, so it is abundantly clear that diversity is not perceived as something that can add value to the company and to the investors return
