I think there are great points here, but the other reality is that a lot of students who come to school to learn and might have hopes of entreprenuership are forced to deal with the harsh realities of student loans and huge debts from that experience. Very quickly the focus shifts to repaying that debt which leads to a change in priorities, finding a job becomes a number one priority… dreams of starting their own business quickly becomes a lower priority or at a minimum delayed.

I am not discounting the value of a college education, but I think it would be helpful to find a way to expose people to some of the realities of entrepreneurship prior to college to help make them better prepared to make choices that could help them find an easier path to their passion of starting a business if that’s what the truly want
