Glad to see there is some introspection going on here… as a person color in the tech industry as a developer and now as an ecosystem builder with the Inclusive Innovation Incubator, I was taken back by the original posting from someone at a senior level in an organization that can negatively or positively impact an individual’s path on his/her entrepreneurial journey.
What is also telling was how quiet the overall community was in response to the posting even though the comment IMHO was very similar to this
When you are a person of color and you are giving everything to make it happen knowing the data for success as startup is low, and even lower for you and then you see a brand like Techstars come out with this kind of “commentary” it makes you wonder is this an organization that you can find supportive and understanding of the distinct set of challenges for you and people who look like you.
